I'm going to have nightmares, but I love the show Surface on NBC. It just sucks me in and keeps me up for the rest of the night. I didn't like swimming in the ocean prior to seeing the show and I seriously doubt I will swim in it now, lol.
Congrats to Tony Stewart for winning the 2005 Nextel Cup. I've said it before, but Tony is growing on me.

Just call me a diva! Yeah right! I did something that I wouldn't normally do just for the experience. I was a model tonight for a Holiday fashion show. I wore an off the shoulder, smokey violet, bridesmaid dress and Mary Kay cosmetics. I almost froze up when it was my turn to step out into the ballroom and work it across the room. It really is hard to walk, smile, and not look uncomfortable at the same time, LOL. I made it through and overall I enjoyed it.
So I was playing on my yahoo messenger the other day and I decided to message some people I hadn't talked to in forever. You know how most people are like "I really need to call, send an email"....yada..yada...yada...just to stay in touch. Well, I decided I would message several people even though they weren't online. You know when you sign in to yahoo messenger if anyone has sent you a message you will get it. I sent this one person an instant message just asking how they were and such and a couple of days later I got a reply. The reply was something to the tone of well I'm good, you?, I'm married and have a kid now, so see ya. Talk about not staying in touch.....it had been three years....not to mention the response was kind of rude. I wasn't trying to hit on him, lol.......just trying to see what was going on with people.
I've never been good at keeping in touch and I have no idea why. I guess because I've always had a very close knit group of friends and there is really only one that has moved away that I keep in touch with.
After this weekend I will be a little stir crazy.........the last NASCAR weekend is upon us and it's a bitter sweet end to a tumultuous season.
The new year is fast approaching and it's going to be a GOOD one!

Emotions......taking me over...............
If anyone has heard the new Dierks Bentley song "Come a Little Closer" then you'll know what I mean when I say that the tone and lyrics of that song seem to make my clothes fall off. I mean really that song digs deep.
I hope one day to experience the rawest emotion of all and that is love. I've only experienced real love once and that was my first love when I was 18. Since then I have had puppy love but nothing explosive like love should make you feel.
My favorite quote that I have to say to my self continuously is from James Carville a strategist, "You show me a person who's never lost and I'm looking at a loser who's never tried."
Have a Wonderful Day!

Jamie McMurray will be driving for Roush next season (YES!)
Kurt Busch is going over to Penske (Even Better!)
Casey Mears will be in the 42 Dodge (Been running good lately, so that's good.)
Ricky Rudd is retiring.
Ken Shrader will be driving the #21 Wood brothers car in 2006. (Great guy!)
Scott Wimmer is without a ride.
Micheal Waltrip will be over at Bill Davis Racing.
Dave Blaney is out of the 07 at at the end of 2005.
Reid Sorenson will be driving the #41 Dodge. (Big mistake, he's not ready!)
Denny Hamlin is the driver for the #11 FedEx ride. (Impressive driving abilities the past couple of races.)
Mike Bliss is taking the NetZero sponsorship and heading for a truck ride next year.
Martin Truex, Jr. is in the #1 for DEI in 2006. (I think he's ready!)
Bobby Labonte is leaving Joe Gibbs racing...will probably be in the #43 Dodge at Petty Enterprises
J.J. Yeley is the new driver for the #18 Joe Gibbs car. (Probably won't last the year, not ready!)
Mark Martin will be driving the #6 next year. (One of my Favs!)
Stay tuned....more to come and hopefully more than NASCAR.

Do I need to say more? Yeah, my thoughts exactly.
If you can't recognize the nightstand/lamp...well it's Jeff Gordon.
I would love to be able to see the Nascar rule book. It's infamous for all it's rules, but I can't seem to find a copy anywhere. Most of the rules end with "actions detrimental to stock car" something or other. The Nascar rule book is only used for some people like Kevin Harvicks crew chief. Todd Berrier can't catch a break.
My dad has this theory that Nascar is all about Chevrolet. I tend to argue with him, but the inconsistencies with the rules tend to prove my father right with the exception being for Kevin Harvick's crew chief. Lets take the post race inspections of Jimmie Johnson and Kyle Busch at Dover. The height of their cars didn't pass post race inspections, but the teams were allowed extra time, even hours to jump and down and let the shocks "settle". If I remember correctly Jimmie Johnson and Kyle Busch finished 1-2 at Las Vegas and didn't pass post race inspection and where fined and had points taken away. Hmmmmmm.....Interesting.
Funny how the media didn't make a big thing out of it like they did the Las Vegas race.
It's no secret I'm a FORD girl, but I would rather Tony Stewart win the championship this year than Jimmie Johnson. I've come to like ole' Tony. He has become a little roly poly, likes to climb unstable fences and he has a monkey. How cool is that?
Kurt Busch....don't let the door hit you on the way out. I hope everything works out so that Jamie McMurray can drive for Roush next year. Jamie has personality and is pretty funny. Kurt sounds like a scripted donkey in his interviews. The PR person at Roush is probably thinking God that they won't have to deal with Kurt next year.
Nextel cup practice is under way and Mark Martin is 2nd.......YEAH!!!!!!! Hopefully he can pull off a win this weekend.

Gossip. Your standing in the checkout line in Walmart and there are the infamous "Star" & "US Weekly" magazines. I tell myself not to pick it up....don't do it.....the curiosity just overruled. I pick it up and I'll admit that I like to look at celebrities pictures and when they are out somewhere. This is the reason they are celebrities, but when I start reading the 100th article about Nick and Jessica splitting up it really becomes annoying. Leave them alone already.......if you ever watched the Newlyweds your going to know that they are half-way normal people whom love each other.
For goodness sakes I would be insane by now if I were Jessica. Who cares if they are or aren't together? This is where the media has crossed the line. They crossed the line with the Pitt-Aniston debacle. Why does this type of news intrigue people so much? Is it because that we have all experienced this type of turmoil and it makes us feel better to see someone that we classify as "invincible" have the same problems in life?
I could care less about Paris Hilton. I have no inkling to ever meet her. I mean she has a lazy eye and a cell-phone stuck to her ear when she's not shooting porn.
I have no respect for Tom Cruise at all. He's crazy and I feel sorry for Katie Holmes. I used to like Mr. Cruise, but after I seen the interview with Matt Lauer on the Today show that all changed. Until Tom has carried a baby in his body and pushed that watermelon out the hole the size of a lemon, and had to deal with all the hormones that we experience he should keep his mouth shut. To sit on national television and talk about how he was an expert on the history of psychiatry convinced me he was a complete moron. We'll see how well Katie Holmes fairs when she is reduced to a silent birth and no epidural because of Sciencetology or whatever that crap is called.

On the road to success you encounter some speed bumps that either cause a little damage to your car or it's your job to find a paving crew to sand that bad boy down. Most of the time I hit speed bumps wide open just for fun.
What's your definition of success? I've been asking that question alot here lately and have yet to answer myself. Success is what you make of it and not the same for everyone. I often people watch and it's amazing to just watch people interact with one another. I'm curious to what drives people and why some people don't have any ambition.
While I was in high school I never thought about the "real-world". For some unknown reason I didn't see life after high-school. My mom was sick almost my entire senior year of high-school and I almost didn't graduate, but I did. She died the following December from cancer and my world was flipped upside down.
Within the next year and a half I had managed to fall in love with the town drunk, get my heart broke by the town drunk, and then knocked up by someone other than the town drunk. Well needless to say I don't think my mother approved of where my life was going, so she decided it was time to point that out to God.
When my daughter was born my life changed forever and put me on the right path. I went to community college and got my two-year degree, then to a full-time job in addition to finishing my four year degree, and now I'm working on my graduate degree. The harsh reality is that I'm the only one that is going to take care of me and my daughter. If I plan on taking care of her and eventually living with a herd of cats when I get older then I need a good education to get me there.
