New Years Resolutions and other random thoughts
I received the best Christmas gift ever and it was from my 8 yr old daughter. I unwrapped 3 boxes within each other and finally made it to a small white box. A box that signaled there was some type of jewelry inside. I opened it and it was a beautiful necklace with a white heart on the chain. It was a generation necklace and there were three women drawn in black on the necklace and when I turned it over it was engraved Sheila, Sarah, Taylor. My mom passed away in 1995 and never got the chance to meet my daughter. It was very emotional and I cried like there was no tomorrow. See, I had just got through telling my cousin Kasey that I felt like I get the raw end of the deal at Christmas since my mother died. I have to do everything and my dad doesn't do those little things that would mean the world to me. It was that necklace that made me realize that she is with me and that my dad is just a man and I need to get over it.
In addition to my daughter coming up with the gift, she had a lot of help from her granny. Her granny Bonnie is a blessing to me and I love her dearly. That would be her fathers mother. If only all mothers could be close to their husbands/boyfriends/ex-husband/ex-boyfriend's mothers.
Christmas has come and gone and it's kind of depressing! I tend to look for 2007 to be my best year ever.
My New Year's Resolution goes something like this:
1 - Change eating habits and eat to live and not live to eat. Weight Loss Goal - 60 pounds
2 - Work out at least 3 days a week and conquer the stairs at work (12 story building)
3 - Work my butt off and get my credit cards paid off and get in a position to buy a house
4 - Lay off the kid, lol..........don't push her so hard. Softball and Guitar lessons should be fun!
5 - Read more books, it is good for the soul and the mind. (ie. cooking for Dummies)
and last but not least.......Patience is a virtue! 1 MBA class at a time for sanity purposes.
NASCAR predictions
Carl Edwards has a comeback season.
Dale Jr. signs a contract with RCR (don't laugh, it's going to happen, especially if Teresa keeps running her mouth)
Jimmie Johnson has the worst season ever! I can only hope.
Toyota makes a huge FLOP in Nascar.
Erin Crocker. Who? No Comment.
I'm still mad at the following people:
Dale Jarrett for jumping ship to MWR & Toyota
Elliot Sadler for jumping ship to the Dodge camp
Mark Martin (will always be a fan) for driving a Chevy part-time in 2007
I'm a FORD girl and can't help it. It's a curse and I was born into it, lol.
Wow......The Chase Is On!
Tony Stewart is out and Kasey Kahne is in! I never thought Tony would not make it. I was really worried that Mark Martin wasn't going to make it.
I'm predicting that Matt Kenseth is going to win the Championship! Go Matt!!!! Eyebrow you will not win the championship.
The most irritating thing in the world is when drivers are doing their interviews and there is some random person in the background talking on their cell phone or taking pictures with it. Stop It!!!!! Get out of the camera range. It's annoying
Thank you Benny for queuing the DUCK! We miss you when your not there.
Carl Edwards will be in it next year and I have faith he will win a championship. He's just in his sophmore slump. Yes, it does exist!
Go 99!!!!!!!!!
Sincerely - Your FutureNascar VP
Dale Jr. got booed for winning the Busch race in Michigan on Saturday and rightfully so! He wrecked Carl Edwards. Yes, Carl lost him temper and probably shouldn't have made a visit to victory lane, but it was entertaining. I love Carl...he's my new hero! How can you not love him??
I was watching Dave Despain on Speed a minute ago and somebody said they were glad that it came out about Ray and Erin Crocker being an item. Somebody said it was none of our business and then the reply came that yeah, but it would be great for Mary Evernham in divorce court. Ohhhhh SNAP! LOVED IT!
Wonder what will happen with Evernham Motorsports? I mean they were married for 20 or so years, do you think they signed a pre-nup back in the day? Hello CEO Mary Evernham! Erin Crocker your days are numbered as a driver!
In other news.......the new products for Pure Romance will be coming out at the end of this month. If you want to have a party email me at
sarahhawks@pureromance.com with your contact information.
By the way.....check out my July 7th post for a look back at what I already knew!
Tomorrow is another day! I pray that I can get through the next couple of months without having a mental breakdown. Full-time job, full-time mommy, three graduate classes, Taylor's playing softball this Fall, and I have a part-time business.
Will I survive? I hope so! Will I need to visit my therapist more often? Of course! Is it worth it? In the long run yes.
I'm trying to secure my future and hopefully build myself a house, so I can breed stray cats and live happily ever after!
I have cats, kittens, dogs, puppies, guinea pig, and a daughter in a pear tree! I'm hoping crazy lady will take a majority of these animals with her to her house.
Crazy lady = woman obsessed with my dad that he has no feelings for...aka Rambo....for her manly qualities. Cause of years of mental anguish? Oh yeah!
Rooting for this week....Jeremy Mayfield!
Who I hope wins at Michigan.....David Gilliand. Heard of him? Oh, but you will!
Erin Crocker + Ray Evernham = Fall of Evernham Motorsports
Mary Evernham = New Owner of Evernham Motorsports
Secretly rooting for: Kevin Harvick, Jeff Burton, and Clint Bowyer
Wish they would crash on the 1st lap: Kurt & Kyle Busch, Jeff Gordon, Jimmy Johnson, and Tony Stewart
My pick for the 2006 Nextel Cup.....Matt Kenseth. LOVE HIM!!!!!
Let's go to the House of Roush this weekend in the big state of Michigan!
There are way to many reality shows on TV.....I can't watch them all. There are some really good ones on like So, you think you can dance on FOX. Go Benji!!!!!! I really don't like America's Got Talent on NBC.
Everyone needs to watch Driving Force on A&E. It's about John Force, he's the guy who's been really successful in drag racing and now he has three daughters who are racing. The guy is hilarious. He's high strung and just hilarious to watch. He's always trying to do what he thinks is best for his daughters and can sometimes be really hard on them. I'll give this **** (Four Stars)!
On to racing....This season is just blah to me. I'm kind of uninterested even though I check Jayski's website at least 10 times a day. I'm pissed at Sadler and Jarrett for jumping ship. I'm totally scared that that Toyota will show Nascar the money and dominate next year. History has proven bad for any motorsports that Toyota has entered.
I think Ray Evernham should get his woo dilly out of Erin Crocker long enough to get Mayfield's team back on track. Looks like it's to late with all the rumors that Mayfield will not only sit out this weekend at Watkins Glen, but for the rest of the season. It's all because Mayfield called him out on it a couple of weeks ago.
I can't stand Jimmy Johnson and he won this weekend at Indy. I can't stand his voice or his crew chief.
I'm also sick of these weird voices I keep hearing, but that's another story.
How young is to young for your daughter to be put on a traveling softball team. She's only 8, but she has opportunities that I didn't have when I was growing up. She'll have to tryout, but I think she would make it. She's good at softball and I just hope she loves it as much as I did and still do. I've played ball since I was in the 5th grade and I even played while I was pregnant. This was the first summer I didn't play in a women's league because I have to much on me. I get joy out of watching her play and I know how my mom felt when she watched me play.
Until next time......

My trip to the gynecologist. I know, your already intrigued at the story line. For some reason I go through gynecologists like I go through a loaf of bread. For those of you who have no idea how much I love bread...then you should know that if you want any and we are at dinner then you should get it before I devour it.
Something always happens and my current gynecologist moves away or breaks up the practice and moves next door. I decided to stay at the current location and see the other doctor. Everyone seems to really like him, so why not.
He came in and introduced himself and we talked about why I was there, besides the obvious reasons. I got undressed and under the "sheet". I have no idea why it makes us as women feel less naked, because he's going to be up in the middle of our goods anyway. I've recently received my 3rd laser hair removal treatment in the area to be examined or you might say the whole area to be examined. No hair, yes, it was like trying to put a helmet on a lion during swim suit season, so it had to go.
I'm awaiting the exam to start and I hear the doc ask from the cavern of the paper sheet, "Well I just have to ask?" My mind immediately went into overdrive....I believe there was a uh-oh thought and I just took a bath thought, but surely he has seen a naked mole rat before. After getting myself all worked up in approximately 1.2 nano seconds he ends the question with "What happened to your leg?" What a relief.....I have a really bad bruise on the inside of my right knee. I keep running into my new bed.
I never like these types of exams, so when he said, "all finished", I don't know if I flinched or what, but it was followed by, "ok, you gonna have to give me my speculum back". "Whoops, sorry!", I mumbled.

Stop driving slow in the fast lane.....please....don't make me come around you.
So You Think You Can Dance......a great show with great talent.....may favorite guy is Benji. Check him out next Wednesday night on Fox. He can dance, but his personality is great, goofy and funloving. VOTE FOR BENJI!!!!!!!!!
I'm on a mission to put some fun in my life and I'm going to be dragging my bestfriend with me. She needs some too, lol, literally! HA!
Please enjoy the hotness to the left..............What a man, what a man, what a mighty good man.
Thank you Getty Images and please let me to continue to enjoy the pics.
